Each day, the Discover Utila Package gives you a different adventure after you spend the morning diving on Utila’s top notch reefs. Each one of these activities was selected to give you a thorough Utilian experience. At the end of your trip, you will have explored Utila in the best ways possible.
The activities range from mild to wild and you’ll have a guide with for each one. During your stay with us, we don’t only want you to be wowed by the incredible diving that Utila has to offer – we want you to be wowed by everything the island has to offer. Dive, explore, learn, and enjoy while we take care of you every step of the way – underwater, in the dining room, and all over the rest of the island as well.

Ideal Itinerary for the Week
- Saturday
- 4:00 pm – Welcome to Utila! We’ll have someone waiting for you at the airport to take you and your luggage to the Lodge.
- 5:00 pm – After settling down in your rooms, enjoy your Welcome Cocktail and your first Utila Sunset as we get you oriented to your stay on the island.
- 6:30 pm – Enjoy the first of many great meals with us and unwind from the long day of traveling.
- Sunday
- 6:30 – 7:30 am – Enjoy the Honduran Coffee brought right to your room, if you so please, and your first breakfast with us.
- 8:00 am – 12:00 pm – Time to hit the water and head out on your first 2 dives of the trip!
- 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Lunch.
- 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm – A guided hike up Pumpkin Hill. It is the highest point on the island and will give you a great 360 degree view of your home for the next week.
- 6:00 pm – Dinner.
- Monday
- 6:30 – 7:30 am – Coffee and breakfast.
- 8:00 am – 12:00 pm – 2 morning dives.
- 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Lunch.
- 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm – Walk down to the lagoon with a Marine Biologist from the Whale Shark and Oceanic Research Center (WSORC) who will lead you on a kayak tour through Utila’s mangroves to the uninhabited north side of the island. Drinks and snacks will be packed by your guide who will also inform you about the history of the mangroves and the life found within it.
- 6:30 pm – Dinner.
- Tuesday
- 6:30 – 7:30 am – Coffee and breakfast.
- 8:00 am – 12:00 pm – 2 morning dives.
- 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Lunch.
- 1:30 – 4:30 pm – Head over to Red Ridge Stables where you’ll be led on a horseback riding tour along the white sand beaches of Utila. Your guide will lead you to Utila’s freshwater caves where you can explore for a bit before your ride back.
- 6:00 pm – Dinner.
- Wednesday
- 6:00am – 7:00 am – Coffee and breakfast.
- 8:00 am – 11:00 pm – 2 morning dives.
- 11:00 pm to 12:00 pm – Lunch.
- 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Get picked up at the Utila Lodge dock and taken to your very own private island for the afternoon. BYOB and enjoy paradise as it was intended!
- 6:00 pm – Dinner.
- Thursday
- 6:30 – 7:30 am – Coffee and breakfast.
- 8:00 am – 12:00 pm – 2 morning dives.
- 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Lunch.
- 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm – Flats fishing for Utila’s huge sport fish! Head out with Captain Shawn Engel and try to land the fish that will eventually be your dinner!
- 6:00 pm – Dinner.
- Friday
- 6:30 – 7:30 am – Coffee and breakfast.
- 8:00 am – 12:00 pm – 2 morning dives.
- 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Lunch.
- 1:00 – 5:00 pm – Whale Shark and Oceanic Research Center Ocean Safari will feature you heading out on a boat with Marine Biologists on the lookout for Whale Sharks, dolphins, and other exciting marine life – don’t forget to bring your mask, snorkel and fins! Although there is no guarantee that you’ll swim with a Whale Shark or dolphins, you could very well be in for the most memorable swim of your life!

- 7:00 am – Departure Flight – we’ll miss you!
