Utila’s Strongest Dive Focused Partnership

We are partners with three other dive focused entities. Together we form a uniquely dive focused partnership committed to training, education, safety, and the enjoyment of diving Utila’s waters.

Utila Lodge serves experienced divers from all over the world in a variety of ways. Mostly we cater to people looking to enjoy a nice dive vacation away from the stresses of the real world. We do this by providing deluxe accommodations and top notch diving services to guests who travel to stay, eat, and dive with us. Beyond that, the Utila Lodge Bar serves as a local watering hole for divers – you never know who you’re going to sit next to and you never know what crazy diving stories they’re gonna share with you.

The Bay Islands College of Diving serves as our dive training partner. Should you be interested in advancing your dive career or earning another dive certification, the College of Diving has you covered. As a 5 Star Career Development facility, they are one of the best dive shops on the island. Never stop learning!

The Whale Shark & Oceanic Research Center serves as our non-profit research center. They are Utila’s authority on Whale Shark monitoring, data collection, and research. They also help maintain the Whale Shark Encounter Guidelines set forth by the Honduran Government. During your stay, you can visit their facility and hear presentations about their work at the Utila Lodge Bar.

The Utila Hyperbaric Chamber serves as Utila’s ONLY hyperbaric chamber. It features a medical facility where divers and others can get routine check ups. The chamber is onsite at the Lodge and a number of our employees are certified to operate it.
